Entering its tenth year, Sotheby's Caf, remains a sensational success with an eclectic mix of fine art collectors and dealers, tourists and Bond Street fashionistas.To celebrate this anniversary, head chef Laura Greenfield presents 40 of her favourite recipes, organised by season and complemented by wine recommendations and anecdotes from Serena Sutcliffe, MW, head of the Sotheby's wine department. Each recipe is illustrated with either food photography or an artwork sold by Sotheby's, ranging from Chinese porcelain to Contemporary art, creating a visual feast for food and art lovers alike. Eight unique articles will be interspersed throughout the book. Written in the form of conversations between Sotheby's specialists and leading experts in their fields, the articles cover such diverse topics as the caf, culture of the Impressionists; the 19th century fashions for dining rooms and their impact on decorative arts; tea and porcelain: from Asia to England; Contemporary artists' use of food in art work.
